How convenient is the college program for the high schoolers?

Aside from the advantageous opportunity to save time and money after graduation, the early college program at Hostos is very opportune for the Hostos Lincoln Academy students! The college is a little less than a mile from the high school, which is about a 15-20 min bus ride!
Our college counselors and liaisons help us to the best of their ability to make sure out college schedule fits with our high school one. They can help us manage classes and rearrange courses to make sure it fits our own special tailored needs!

What other benefits are open to the high schoolers in the Early College Program

Aside from free textbooks and an extra metro card to get to and from the high school, the freedom of taking college classes also comes with the privilege of getting outside lunch! The college ID provided gives students access to the college's library to check out books, media room to use the computers, and student discounts at surround stores and businesses! Being a CUNY student, high schoolers are also awarded access to every CUNY College! This means you can visit any CUNY school, their library, and their athletic facilities. After graduation, students can also get their Alumni Card which also allows the same privileges.
